An All-New England selection as a senior in 1970, Paul Gionfriddo was a defensive standout for Quinnipiac men’s soccer. A co-captain and team MVP as a senior, Gionfriddo was named the team’s Outstanding Defensive Player for the 1965 and 1969 seasons. Gionfriddo was a member of the All-New England All-Stars Team in 1970 and, in 1971, was named an Outstanding Athlete of America. A member of the 1965 soccer team, Gionfriddo was named to the NAIA National All Tournament Soccer Team.
