Patrick Nguyen is the first Quinnipiac men’s tennis player to reach 100 career match wins. In a four-year span that saw him compete at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in each year, Nguyen posted a 101–36 combined record, good for a .731 win percentage. He led Quinnipiac to its first Northeast Conference Championship in six seasons with wins at No. 1 singles and doubles in 1997, earning him NE-10 Player of the Year honors. Nguyen was a twotime All-Northeast-10 Conference selection and a two-year captain for the 1997 men’s tennis team that won a thenprogram record 18 matches.
