Kilponen '19 Signs with Linköping Hockey Club

Linköping, Sweden – Quinnipiac women's hockey alum Anna Kilponen '19 announced that she will be continuing her hockey career with the Linköping Hockey Club in Sweden.
"I am so excited to get the chance to gain new experiences while playing the game I love," Kilponen said. "It's cool to see the support that women's hockey is gaining in Sweden and be a part of that. I am ready to get to Linköping and get things started with the team!"
Linköping is in southern Sweden and is the seventh largest city in the country. The Linköping Hockey Club is home to a men's and women's professional team that competes in the Swedish Hockey League.
Kilponen finished her career as a Bobcat as a top defender and recorded nine points through two seasons. The Finland native transferred to Quinnipiac her junior year after playing two seasons at North Dakota.
She also competed with the Finnish National Team at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.
